citebite : educators’web2.0 tool for creating and publishing quotes

Citebite is a very important web2.0 application in education . It allows its users to link directly to quotes on WebPages . If it happens that you come across an interesting  paragraph in a certain webpage that you want to share with your students or friends just highlight the targeted  chunk of text and paste it into Citebite together with the source URL and send the link to whomever you want to share this text with . Once they click on the link they would instantly  access the website and see the highlighted text you want them to read .

Log on to Citebite main page
Paste the selected text you want to share with others in the “ quote” box


Paste the source URL of that text


click on “make citebite”


Applications of Citebite in education

As an educator i feel so happy to have discovered  this web20 tool . We can use it in our daily work with our students in different ways . We can for example use Citebite to share important articles or parts of these articles with students .Citebite is also very important in drawing students’ attention to certain chunks of text or paragraphs . It is also very useful for doing research papers and classroom projects .
