Slidecasting ; mix audio and slides into your presentations

Slidecasting is an advanced way to create presentations by mixing audio and slides . This service is powered by Slideshare . I have already tried this tool and find it very interesting and I want you to try it too . If you don’t know Slideshare yet then I invite you to read the post entitled Slideshare; the largest presentation sharing community to learn about it .
Slidecasting is a mash up  of slideshare (slideshow) with an audio file (mp3 format is allowed).It is very easy to use and you do not need any technology knowledge to do it .

    SlideShare is the world's largest community for sharing presentation . It is one of the best presentation platforms that has ever been created online . It is a MUST and I repeat a MUST for every educator to be familiar with this tool . It not only allows you to create awesome presentations with a mixture of videos and slides but also engage you into a great community of people who share the same interests as you do . I have collected everything you need to know about Slideshare here so that you would find it easy to start exploring it . I know many of you are using it but many do not , and for those who are not yet using this tool then this is your chance to know everything about it .

    Audacity :a practical free tool for recording and editing sounds

    Audacity is a free audio web2.0 tool . It is an open software for recording and editing sounds . Audacity is available for most of the operating systems such as Windows ,Mac OSX, GNU, and Lunux . This is great application that is completely free and very helpful as far as education is concerned .

    • It is completely free
    • It requires a quick download
    • It allows you to record sound and edit it as you like
    • It lets you record up to 16 channels at once

    • It lets you mix an unlimited number of sound tracks
    • It also allows you to save your sound or audio clip to share it with others

    Head over to Audacity main page and
    For MAC users :
    1. Inside your Applications folder, create a folder called "Audacity"
    2. Double-click the downloaded .dmg to mount it
    3. Option-drag the whole of the .dmg contents (not the .dmg itself) into the "Audacity" folder you created
    4. Double-click Audacity.app inside the Applications folder to launch it
    For Windows users :
    1. Simply click on the Link
    2. Select the directory for your download
    3. Once the download is complete, click on the downloaded .exe file
    4. The setup will run, and Audacity will be installed on your computer.

    Gliffy is a diagram making web2.0 tool . It allows you to create great looking diagrams and drawings in a snap . It is similar to Bubbl.us , diagram.ly , Creately and webinspiration that i have talked about in earlier posts . Gliffy is not all free but you can sign up for a 30 day free trial period .

    I know since Gliffy is not all free then most of us will not be using it a lot .But if you have ever decided to use it then you can really create such fantastic diagrams to use with your students in the classroom .What i like the most about Gliffy is that when you embed a diagram into your blog or wiki and then later on decided to make some changes on that diagram then these changes are automatically displayed on your blog or wiki so there is no need to embed it again . i hope you like Gliffy and that you would consider giving it a try .

    Creately is an online diagraming and design application that is very easy to use . It offers a great way of working with teams in multiple locations and on several projects .It has both a free and premium version and of course the paid version has always more features to work with .Anyway we will content ourselves with just the free version .

    Once your videos and images are selected you can then begin reordering them by drag and drop technique or just click on reshuffle and let Animoto do the job for you . You can also use many other tools to customize your videos like :
